REGISTER NOW – CLICK HERE

The eighth International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organizations (ICMYO) will take place on 7-9 September at the Cairo International Scout Centre, Egypt, and uniquely ICMYO is organising a local “Networking Day” on September 8th 2012 in Cairo from 09.00 to 18.00. The Networking Day is an excellent opportunity for local youth Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to share with one another and gain exposure to work done by other Youth Organisations at the international and global levels.

There will be a high-level panel discussion as part of the Networking Day with distinguished international and local speakers. Local experts, activists, international experts from United Nations agencies, and representatives from the government will speak at the panel discussion which will be followed by a question and answer session. All participants will be invited to exhibit their work on exhibition-panels during a ‘Market Place’ style interactive fair.

The goal of the Networking Day is to help youth organisations, especially local youth NGOs to strengthen their local and international networks and their knowledge and capacity. The Networking Day will provide international exposure to local youth organisations from the Arab Region. Networking Day will also be a platform for participants from youth organisations in the Arab Region and those from the global organisations (from ICMYO) to network with each other and build relationships with each other for future joint work. In addition, the high-level representatives from the international organisations (in ICMYO) will also have the opportunity to know more about the youth scene in the Arab Region directly from youth and their representatives in the country and Region, especially post “Arab Spring”, which will hopefully lead to greater solidarity

Two representatives from local NGOs and organisations working with youth related issues from Cairo and the Arab Region are welcome to register themselves for the “Networking Day” by filling up the registration by CLICKING HERE.

The deadline for registrations is 2nd of September 2012. After this date, you may still register but there is no guarantee of space.

A registration fee of 30 Egyptian Pounds will need to be paid at entrance on arrival at the venue. Lunch, coffee, tea, snacks and a certificate of participation will be provided for all participants.

Simultaneous interpretation/translation (Arabic-English) will be provided for the entire day in the plenary sessions & individual headsets will be made available for everyone.
